Questions people ask before they commit
Straight answers on timing, obligations and what a first conversation actually involves.
The question that comes up most
Everything else on this page is general guidance. This first one deserves the longest answer.
- Should I upgrade now or wait?
- There is no single answer, and anyone who gives you one without asking questions is selling. It depends on what you owe, what you hold in CPF and cash, how long you plan to stay in the next home, and whether your current flat is at a stage where its value is still climbing or has flattened. Jayden works through those four things with you and will say wait when waiting is the better call. Plenty of first conversations end that way.
- How does the first consultation work?
- Generally it is a short, informal conversation, in person or over WhatsApp, covering your current property, your timeline and your budget. Expect questions rather than a presentation. Nothing is signed at a first meeting.
- Is there any obligation after we speak?
- No. A consultation is a conversation, not an engagement. If you decide not to proceed, or to work with someone else, that is a normal outcome.
- Which areas and property types are covered?
- Singapore residential property across HDB, condominium, landed homes and new launches, for buying, selling, renting out and investment reviews.
- What should I prepare before we talk?
- Nothing is required, though it helps to know roughly what you owe on your current property, your household income position and when you would ideally like to move. Approximate figures are fine at the first stage.
- Do I have to use PropOne if I transact with Jayden?
- No. PropOne is available if you want it and ignored if you do not. Many clients use one or two services and arrange the rest themselves.
Still unsure? Ask a question on the contact page and Jayden will answer it himself.
